Gate Guardian - Victor Bomber Aviation Art Print

Gate Guardian stands tall (2.5 metres to be exact) in the gatehouse of the former RAF base at Gaydon. Working in the Motor Industry there at the time, I witnessed the redevelopment of the site first hand, and felt the need to recognise its past. I reached out and was tasked with creating a piece to honour its memory. It was unveiled with two memorial plaques on November 11th 2005. We had several veterans at the ceremony and it was unveiled by the Senior Man Ken Setter who had served during WW2. The picture itself was painted at the time my Mother passed away, the piece carries religious overtones  and pathos of departure.
